스마트폰은 관심을 분절화시키고 커스터마이징시킨다. 스마트폰을 사용하면서 나의 관심을 극도로 세분화시키고 세분화된 관심을 철저히 나의 취향에 맞게 최적화시키게 된다. 예전엔 1시간~2시간을 진득하니 투입하던 관심이 이젠 1분 단위로 쪼개져서 운용된다.

극세화된 관심은 매우 쉬크한 태도를 취한다. 사람과 같이 있어도 사람에 관심을 그닥 많이 주지 않고 철저히 나의 관심을 끄는 정보에만 주의를 기울이게 된다. 회의를 해도 자신에게 관심가는 정보에만 귀를 기울이고 나머지 정보는 모두 스킵한다.

스마트폰은 수많은 연결을 가능케 한 동시에 심도 깊은 단절을 리드하고 있다. 연결은 증식에 증식을 거듭하고 있으나 각각의 연결점들의 농도는 매우 희박해서 대부분의 시간을 끊어짐 상태로 지내면서 간헐적인 연결이 일어날 뿐이다. 연결 심화 & 단절 심화.

극세화/이기주의적 관심이 심화될 수록, 문자의 힘은 드세져만 간다. 면대면 회의 대신 이메일로 일을 하고 면대면 대화, 음성통화 대신 메신저 대화가 일상을 점유한다. 그게 극세화된 나의 관심의 이기주의적 스탠스에 적합한 툴이기 때문이다.

관심이 분절화될 수록, 관심의 대상인 인간도 분절화된다. 나는 누구와 대화하고 있는가? 사람? 아니다. 나는 극도로 세분화되고 나의 순간적 관심 취향에 부합하는 세포 레벨의 극세화된 존재와 대화하고 있는 것이다. 그건 결코 사람이라 볼 수는 없다.

내가 보는 드라마, 내가 읽는 책, 내가 먹는 음식에서 나의 취향에 부합하는 것만 취한다면 드라마,책,음식은 해체 후 재조립되어야 한다. 관심/취향은 이미 그 방향으로 움직이고 있다. 관심은 드라마,책,음식 뿐만 아니라 사람마저도 재단하고 있다.

관심 기반의 연결은 관심 기반의 단절의 이면이다. 관심을 따라 연결되고 관심을 따라 단절된다. 단절 기반의 조건부 연결. 그게 연결의 본질이다. 연결성이 좋아진 게 아니라 on-off의 자유도가 높아진 것이다. 사람도 관심 앞에선 철저히 해체된다.

나는 누구인가? 
극세관심의 총합인가? 

그럼 나는 누구와 대화하고 있는가?
나의 극세관심에 적합한 분절화된 극세모듈들인가?

관심이 세분화되고 세분화된 관심의 이기주의가 창궐하게 되고 있는데
그런 과정 속에서 인간은 과연 무엇이 되고 있으며 어디로 가고 있는 것일까? ^^

    "단절 기반의 조건부 연결" 진짜 어렵고 오묘한 용어네요 ㅎㅎ 이런 스타일의 철학 세계를 여기 말고 어디서 또 경험해볼 수 있을까요? (군대 땜에) 심신이 지대로 지쳐가는 와중에도 뚫어져라 집중하게 만드는 흡입력, 정말 닮고 싶습니다. ^^ 주말이라 정말 다행인 것 같은 주말, 행복하게 보내세요!

      저도 잘 모르고 적는 글입니다. 잘 몰라서 적는 것이고 적다 보면 좀더 잘 이해하게 될 수도 있겠다는 희망을 갖고 살아갑니다. ^^ 항상 응원해 주시는 것이 제겐 무한의 에너지 공급처럼 느껴지구요~ 항상 감사하게 생각하고 있습니다. ^^

eBay To Go가 베타 론치를 했다. (플래시 위젯 서비스)

이베이의 다양한 물품/검색결과 컨텐츠를 개인블로그, social networking site에 쉽게 같다 붙일 수 Flash widget 서비스인데 꽤 괜찮은 기능인 것 같다.

자고로 컨텐츠/데이터는 자유롭게 이곳저곳을 흘러다니고 유통될 수 있게 모듈화 시키는게 장땡이라고 생각한다.   이베이 유저들의 좋은 반응을 기대해 본다.











eBay Launches “ToGo” Widgets For Any Listing

As you can see with the embedded Flash widget above, eBay is now letting users embed information about any listing or group of listings directly into a website. Their hope is to encourage bloggers and social network users who discuss famous listings to embed the information right into the page. The service will be available at togo.ebay.com this morning.

There are three types of widgets. Example of all three can be seen on this test blog set up by eBay. The first, embedded above, shows information on a single listing. users can mouse over the seller to get additional information, or do a search with the results returned within the widget itself. Users can also clone the widget for their own site. There is no requirement that the person creating the widget be the seller of the item.

The second type of widget shows up to ten separate items. The pictures rotate in a slide show, and when a viewer clicks on one, it replaces the slideshow with information about that item in the same format as the first widget. The third type of widget shows picture results based on a search query. Like the second widget, clicking on any picture shows information about that listing.

These widgets are just for fun and to generate discussion around interesting auctions, not for revenue generation by publishers. Ebay provides affiliate tools at affiliates.ebay.com and the company says that they will evolve those tools separately over time to meet the requests of affiliates. 자기조직화는 바로 내 안에 있다.
뇌의 방법론을 배우면 자연스럽게 복잡계도 배울 수 있을 것 같다.
멀리 갈 필요가 없다.  바로 나 자신에 대해 알아가면 된다.
The brain is good:
it is an existence proof that a certain arrangement of matter can produce mind, perform intelligent reasoning, pattern recognition,learning and a lot of other important tasks of engineering interest. Hence we can learn to build new systems borrowing ideas from the brain... 

The brain is bad:
it is an evolved, messy system where a log of interactions happen because of evolutionary contengencies....

On the other hand, it must also be robust (since we can survive with it) and be able to stand fairly major variation sand environmental insults, so the truly valuable insight from the brain might be how to create resilient complex systems that self-organize well....

The interactions within a neuron are complex. but on the next level neurons seem to be somewhat simple objects that can be put together flexibly into networks. The cortical networks are a real mess locally, but again on the next level the connectivity isn't that complex. It would be likely that evolution has produces a number of modules or repeating themes that are being re-used, and when we understand them and their interactions we can do something similar.
